PlayStation 4 Design Officially Revealed

It's here, and it's...smaller than we thought.

Sony has finally taken the covers off its official PlayStation 4 design. The result is a device that actually doesn’t deviate too much from a recent fan design we posted about, showcasing a blue neon light running vertically down across the length of the console.

Other aspects include a slightly compartmentalized look, with the console being divided into two layers, with the space in between being where the disc tray would be placed. Amazingly enough, it looks quite compact compared to the behemoth design of the Xbox One.

In fact, we’re having serious deja vu of the PlayStation 2 versus the original Xbox console right now, and it’s kind of scary. Or it could be sleep deprivation. Maybe both! But the presence of a Panzer Dragoon sequel among other things is just too much of an indicator.

Stay tuned for more updates we report on the remainder of Sony’s E3 press conference, including upcoming exclusives and third party blockbusters.
