"How is this possible?!?!"

When Sony first began its Gamescom 2013 press conference, it did so in the most innocuous way possible. We had President of Sony’s Worldwide Studios for SCE Shuhei Yoshida just sitting in a chair, sending out tweets, that kind of thing. Thankfully, it didn’t generate into the full-on insanity Sony is known for, but there was something interesting a Redditor noticed.

Yoshida exited the user interface, going from spectating someone else’s game to playing one on the PlayStation 4 in a matter of 7 seconds. Don’t believe us? Check it out below.

Try timing how long it takes for you to spectate or do anything on your PlayStation 3 and then immediately go into playing a game. It might just be a few seconds difference – or much more – but it is a testament to how well integrated the systems are that you can leap right into games, no matter what you’re doing.

The PlayStation 4 will be launching in November on the 15th in North America and on the 29th in Europe.

Bonus: Did anyone noticed you can video chat in the game?
