All these months of rumors later, Sony has finally confirmed what many fans wanted to hear. It will hold a presentation to showcase PlayStation 5 titles on June 4th at 1 AM PDT. The showcase will run for a “bit more than an hour” according to the PlayStation Blog.

While a reveal for the physical console hasn’t been confirmed, Sony has noted that this will be a “first look at the games you’ll be playing after PlayStation 5 launches this holiday.” Said games “represent the best in the industry from innovative studios that span the globe. Studios, both larger and smaller, those newer and those more established, all have been hard at work developing games that will showcase the potential of the hardware.”

Sony also said that this will be part of a series of updates for the PlayStation 5. Even when the upcoming showcase concludes, fans can expect more in the coming days. The presentation will be streamed live on Twitch and YouTube so stay tuned for live updates.

As for what to expect, we only have rumored games in development to really look at. Horizon: Zero Dawn 2, which will apparently have co-op, could be showcased. Maybe Sony will give us the first look at the Silent Hill reboot that it’s rumored to be developing alongside Konami. It also wouldn’t be a bad time for Bluepoint Games to finally reveal its highly anticipated remake.
