PlayStation Plus subscribers who pay on a monthly basis or invest in a three month subscription for the service in the UK and Europe will soon be paying more for their memberships. Sony has announced that prices for the same will be increasing from September 1st.

In a statement for the same, Sony said, “We are dedicated to bringing PlayStation Plus members the best possible service with the most compelling content. From 1st September we will be increasing the price of monthly and three month PlayStation Plus subscriptions in line with market conditions. We will continue to invest in PlayStation Plus to ensure an unparalleled experience, featuring the best quality games and features.”

Will this extend to US subscribers sometime in the near future? Sony hasn’t revealed as much nor has it talked about the new prices going forward. Expect to hear more September 1st approaches but let us know what you think of the changes in the comments.
