We’re getting closer to the launch of the revamped PlayStation Plus’ launch now, with Sony recently having revealed launch dates for the new service in various regions– though there’s plenty yet that still hasn’t been revealed. For instance, what will the process be for users looking upgrade from a lower tier of the subscription service to a higher once?
According to Sony, that process will be simple. Though full details on the same haven’t yet been revealed, Sony recently said in an email sent out to users (via ResetEra) that subscribers can “easily upgrade to a higher benefit plan at any time”. Doing so will require you to pay the difference between the two plans, which will also be adjusted based on how much time is left on your subscription.
The new PlayStation Plus will begin rolling out in late May and then through the rest of June, so further details on it should be arriving in the coming weeks.
As far as its library is concerned, Sony says it will feature a number of major games from all major publishers, while the likes of Death Stranding, Returnal, God of War, and more have also been confirmed. Recently, a number of Syphon Filter games were also rated in Korea for PS5 and PS4, suggesting they might be included in PS Plus’ legacy lineup.
