In the midst of all the anticipation and rumours surrounding the upcoming Playstation event, which includes rumours of Gaikai cloud services being announced for PSN and a new Playstation EyePad which combines a tablet with motion controls, it seems that a Playstation Vita web presentation will be held today at 5 PM, Japan Standard Time.

Considering that one of the rumours for the February 20th event includes a revamped Playstation Vita, this is certainly an interesting development. The presentation will be conducted by Sony Computer Entertainment Japan president Hiroshi Kawano. Head here to check out the presentation.

And no, there’s no indication of what will be announced on the presentation, or if it will actually involve the future of the Vita. Nevertheless, the timing is interesting. Could there be another string of announcements arriving prior to Sony’s Playstation event? Stay tuned for more details – because more than one source has confirmed we’ll be seeing the PS4.
