What to expect from virtual reality.

15 Things You Need To Know About PlayStation VR

With PlayStation VR set to launch on October 13, Sony have released a bunch of new videos that will walk prospective buyers from everything, from setting up the PlayStation VR to actually engaging with virtual reality. This is just as well, because the PlayStation VR comes with a lot of wires and pieces- there’s the headset, the processor unit, the camera, the controller, multiple wires, and more.

Virtual reality itself, too, is an all new paradigm for video games, so walking players through what to expect from it isn’t a half bad idea, especially if Sony are hoping to achieve mass market success with the new headset. Plus, given that PlayStation VR’s tracking is based on visible light, which is fundamentally different from how HTC and Oculus handle it, these videos are bound to be helpful even for VR enthusiasts.

The PlayStation VR will be available on October 13 for a price of $399.
