Pokemon GO Made $73 Million in October

The game continues growing in popularity.

Pokemon GO’s incredible resurgence continues unabated. Even as the weather cools, the game seems to show no signs of stopping. Halloween events, as well as the introduction of Gen 4 Pokemon, appear to have buoyed Pokemon GO to an extremely impressive gross of $73 million in the month of October, analysis firm Sensor Tower reports.

This is up 67 per cent year over year, compared to last October, although it actually represents a slump from the $84.8 million the game managed to accrue in September this year. However, even with that, Pokemon GO managed to earn more money than the mobile version of Fortnite. When you’re doing better than Fortnite, you know you’re doing exceptionally well.

Coming up are more factors that should keep the game going—the launch of Pokemon Let’s Go, which ties in with Pokemon GO, should help, as should the introduction of more new Pokemon in the game. Plus, of course, the PvP update for the game is due out by the end of the year too.

Pokemon GO is out now on iOS and Android devices.
