Incredibly enough, the mobile hit sensation Pokemon GO has so far not been available in Japan. That changes today, as Pokemon GO is finally available on all compatible Android and iOS devices in the country.

The launch in Japan has, expectedly, brought down the servers for the game worldwide- so if, after a few days of relative stability, you are experiencing more server errors and disconnections today, you now know why.

Pokemon GO has already been a major success globally, and that will probably be added to greatly by the Japanese market- Japan loves Pokemon, social games, and mobile games, and Pokemon GO is all three at once. Chances are very real that it ends up being the most successful mobile game of all time in the country.
