Pokemon GO To Be Released In Other Regions Within ‘Days’- Report

Pokemon Go 3

Pokemon GO has been a sensation ever since its launch, creating a frenzy the likes of which has not been since ever since the launch of the original Pokemon games 20 years ago, and pulling in crazy amounts of numbers- and this is especially amazing when you consider that so far, the game is only officially available in the United States of America, Australia, and New Zealand.

People everywhere else around the world have had to contend themselves either with sideloading APKs if they have Android phones, or making dummy American accounts if they have iPhones. But these sorts of hacky workarounds won’t need to be employed much longer, either- it appears as though, contrary to initial reports, Pokemon GO‘s global rollout may be resumed sooner rather than later. In a report, The Wall Street Journal (subscription required to view content) have noted that the hit smartphone game is due to be released in other regions within ‘days.’

This means that basically all of Europe, Asian countries such as Singapore, Japan, and India, as well as Latin America, Canada, and Middle Eastern territories will be able to play the game officially very soon. We wonder if the game will get the kind of reception in those territories that it has in the United States and Australia so far. Judging by the game’s innate appeal, though, it is safe to conclude that it will set the charts on fire no matter where in the world it launches and when it launches.
