Pokemon continues to have strong legs across the world, presumably thanks to strong word of mouth.

Pokemon let’s go

We already know Pokemon Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee! has done well, and continues to do well, following its launch a couple of weeks ago. Today, in their press release celebrating the fantastic sales performance of the Switch over Black Friday week in the US, Nintendo also shared an update on how Pokemon Let’s Go has been doing.

In the United States alone, it seems like Pokemon Let’s Go has crossed 1.5 million units in sales, indicating a very healthy tail for them (quite like the games’ performance in Japan, where the titles continue to hold on to the first place spot on the software charts in spite of several new releases). This indicates that the game is continuing to have a strong hold, presumably owing to strong word of mouth around it following skepticism in the lead up to its launch about whether or not its changes to the formula would pay off.

Pokemon Let’s Go is available exclusively on the Nintendo Switch. Do make sure to check out our review for the game if you are still on the fence about getting it.
