Pokemon Scarlet and Violet - Iono

Game Freak’s Pokemon Scarlet and Violet received some new details recently, namely the reveal of Iono, Levincia’s Gym Leader, and Bellibolt, her partner Pokemon. New screenshots and gameplay have been shared for the duo, along with additional details.

Nicknamed the “Supercharged Streamer,” Iono cares about engagement and channel views (not to mention catchphrases like “Your eyeballs are mine – caught in my Electroweb!”). She utilizes Electric-Type Pokemon, as seen with Bellibolt. The latter is known for its elastic body, generating electricity in its belly button and unleashing it through the bumps on its head. Though it looks odd, Bellibolt is non-hostile and won’t usually fight until it’s attacked first.

Its main ability is Electromorphosis. After being hit by an attack, the strength of its next Electric move is boosted. The move is brand new for the series, so expect to see other Electric-Type Pokemon wielding it.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are out on November 18th for Nintendo Switch. For more details, check out our feature here.
