Pokemon Sun/Moon‘s reign at the top of the video game sales charts worldwide simply does not look to end any time soon. Amazon have shared a list of the highest selling video games on their website this Holiday season, and what should have topped that list, but Game Freak’s newest titles?
That’s right, Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon were two of the highest selling games of this Holiday season on Amazon. While Pokemon‘s first place finish is a pleasant surprise, we also had an unexpected surprise- Final Fantasy 15. Final Fantasy 15 (specifically, the PS4 version) was cited by Amazon as being one of the highest selling games of the season alongside Pokemon, too, which is honestly something that makes me very happy- this means that Pokemon Sun/Moon and Final Fantasy 15 edged out Battlefield 1, Titanfall 2, Watch Dogs 2, and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare for a first (and second) place finish- and they say the Japanese games industry is dead.
Pokemon Sun/Moon is available now on Nintendo 3DS systems exclusively; Final Fantasy 15 is available on Xbox One and PS4.
