Pokemon Sun and Moon 3

Pokemon Sun/Moon promise to be the most ambitious games in the series’ history, not to mention among the best and most exciting 3DS games too. The games are promising a brand new world for trainers to explore, filled with brand new Pokemon, rendered in a gorgeous and well realized graphical style that is unlike anything the series has seen before, filled to the brim with features, and they are promising a complete structural break from previous Pokemon games.

So it should come as no surprise to you that they’re going to be hefty in terms of storage. Serebii reports (via Nintendo Life) that Pokemon Sun and Moon will come in at a massive 26,214 blocks- which in simple terms is 3.2GB. Considering that standard 3DS systems come packed with only 2GB SD cards (though you can easily swap those out; every other 3DS model comes with 4GB), that’s a massive amount. In fact, the official site apparently points out that the game plus demo will be over even 4GB.

So, time to clean out the fridge, guys- or really, just get a bigger SD card for your systems already, you animals.
