Developer FuturLab has announced that PowerWash Simulator will be getting its next major update, version 1.2, on April 18. The update, titled The Muckingham Files, will then be followed by the release of a physical edition of PowerWash Simulator on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch on June 13.

The Muckingham Files update will take players back to the mysterious Mauka Aitu Desert where they’ll clean advance machinery like a Solar Water Plant and a large Satellite Dish. The update will also have players clean a food truck on the Muckingham grounds.

To help expand on the game’s setting and story, bonus jobs from the base game are also getting expanded stories that supplement the main story. These bonus missions will now feature more lore, tales, and trivia about the world of PowerWash Simulator.

FuturLab has also revealed plans for more content coming to PowerWash Simulator over 2023, including more free content down the line, as well as three planned paid DLC releases.

The last free update for PowerWash Simulator brought a collaboration with Final Fantasy 7 Remake to the game.
