After launching first on PC back in December to help Capcom with optimization, Pragmata’s demo is available later today for Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PS5.
Offering both Japanese and English voice options, the demo, titled “Sketchbook”, offers some different features from the full game (which usually means progress won’t carry over). Nevertheless, players can experience the core gameplay loop, where Hugh, who visits the lunar space station after things go wrong, teams with Diana, an android, to survive against hostile robots.
While Hugh possesses weaponry like pistols and shotguns, they can’t penetrate the robots’ armor. This is where Diana comes in, as the player simultaneously controls her and completes puzzles to hack through an enemy’s defenses. Hugh can then follow up for massive damage. As the game progresses, you’ll unlock new upgrades for both characters and face off against tougher enemies.
Pragmata launches on April 24th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. PC players can learn more about Path Tracing support and other features available on day one, resulting in a more gorgeous experience (if you have the hardware). You can also check out the development team’s thoughts on wanting the shooting and hacking systems to “complement” each other here.
