PREY

Arkane Studios’ Prey becomes more and more enticing with each gameplay reveal and we’re really starting to enjoy its System Shock-like trappings. A new gameplay trailer was released during Gamescom and this one offers a look at a new weapon and ability that protagonist Morgan Yu will employ.

The GLOO Cannon is fairly straightforward – it emits an adhesive layer on to Mimics, the game’s aliens, that can stop them in their tracks. It’s one of the abilities, Mimic Matter, which is all the cooler since it allows Morgan to take the shape of inanimate matter. This may sound useless but it’s good for getting into hard to reach places like the window sill of a security office. We also get our first gameplay look of the station’s exterior.

Prey is currently in development and planned to release in 2017 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. What are your thoughts on the snatches of gameplay shown thus far? Let us know in the comments below.
