Project Setsuna

Square Enix announced the opening of a brand new development studio at its E3 2015 press conference called Tokyo RPG Factory. The name was meant to embody the company’s drive to maintain its identity as an RPG developer. It then went on to announce a brand new series called Project Setsuna. No details of any kind whatsoever were revealed except that the new game would be released in 2016. At this rate, you’re better off waiting for more information at Tokyo Game Show 2015.

Thankfully, the rest of the conference wasn’t a bust. We got to see new gameplay footage from Just Cause 3, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Hitman and Kingdom Hearts 3 along with announcements for some new games like Nier and World of Final Fantasy. Sure, it wasn’t the strongest of conferences but it had its moments.
