Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD:

This game has already been available for quite awhile on Sony’s Vita and it’s not too bad of a game. People were originally worried about the franchise moving to the Vita and that it may not have the same charm that the parent series does. While the game did very well on the Vita, there were a lot of interested PS3 owners who hadn’t gotten the chance to play it. All that is going to change come the end of January 2014.

You’ll be able to take control of a young woman, bent on freeing people from the oppressive rule of the British in Colonial America. While this game is definitely a part of the AC franchise, it’s got a bit of it’s own feel, it is definitely a game of it’s own, with a few different mechanics and a the unique environment of the Southern  United States. These mechanics like disguises and unique abilities tied to those various outfits, changes the way players interact with the game.

While it’s very similar to the console originals, the differences will bring a nice breath of fresh air into the series. While it is definitely not going to out-do the changes to the franchise that were made in Black Flag, Liberation certainly shows that the developers were looking to change things up and some of the ideas and themes we’ve seen in Black Flag came from Liberation. Ubisoft is definitely making the right move when moving this game to the PS3 come January.
