A few days ago, Sony presented an impressive display of their next gen console: the PlayStation 4. Obviously a lot of information has been spilled and we have got more for all you hungry readers.

Pricing of Games:

First off, the price of PS4 games. Due to development costs of next gen games, many would have thought that they will cost more. But Sony Executive Jack Tretton has confirmed that PS4 games will cost anywhere from $0.99 to $60 similar to the PS3.

He said that PS4 is “designed with the game developer in mind and the consumer in mind,” and will offer games with prices ranging from $0.99 to the more traditional $60 range with the ability for players to sample games before they buy.

“I think people are willing to pay if they see the value there,” he said. “The heat for the true gamer is on the console.”

He said that games on mobile devices are “additive experiences” and that gamers won’t “migrate down the food chain” for their primary gaming experience.

Region Free Game Not Yet Confirmed:

The PS Vita and PS3 are both region free hardware. But Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida cannot confirm that the PS4 will have the same capability. He however confirmed that the PS4 design is finished.

“The PS4′s design is finished, but I cannot answer about this yet. Moreover, I think that it will be announced at another time,” he said.

PS4 Will Be Bundled With A Headset:

Just like the Xbox 360, a headset will be bundled with the PS4.  Yoshida confirmed this on the PS Blog: ‘ A headset will be bundled with PS4, enabling gamers to chat with friends during online gaming and to hear sound effects from the controller.’
