PS4 May Finally Receive Friend Login Notifications

A long awaited feature may finally be on its way

Posted By | On 11th, Dec. 2014

Regardless of which platform you support this generation, there’s no denying that from the moment they launched, they have all been playing catch up. Xbox One’s turn around, PlayStation 4’s game library, Wii U’s install base. Not one of the 3 major platforms hit the ground running.

Thankfully they are gaining ground and become much more impressive gaming machines as time goes on, and PlayStation 4 looks as though it may finally be receiving a feature that should have been there since launch, but has been missing.

Today, Sony released a new video trailer that gave some details about the play and chat features in a party. At the 10 second mark, you can clearly see in the top right corner, a friend login notification. The friend login notification has been a long awaited feature that was in the PS3 but absent from the newest iteration of the hardware. So is this a hint that the feature is coming soon?
