Sony’s PlayStation 4 Neo has been the subject of much discussion. After months of rumours and spec leaks, Sony went ahead and confirmed the development of the hardware but didn’t feature it at E3 2016. From then on, it’s been a guessing game as to when the upgraded console would be announced.

However, according to sources that spoke Game Blog, a French site, the PlayStation 4 Neo will be announced on September 7th. It was noted that while an announcement at the Tokyo Game Show seemed fitting, the announcement would actually be happening in New York at an event.

Take this with a grain of salt though the site has been somewhat reliable in the past. As it stands, Sony could reveal the PS4 Neo on September 7th and then head into the Tokyo Game Show ready to show off its capabilities, announce pricing and/or design and what have you. Will the PS4 Slim make an appearance alongside it as well? We’ll find out next month so stay tuned.
