President of Worldwide Studios for Sony Computer Entertainment Shuhei Yoshida took to Twitter to clarify several facts regarding the upcoming PlayStation 4, including the patch that users will need to download on launch day.
First off, you won’t need to worry about the patch keeping you from your games. Yoshida has revealed that you can download the 300 MB patch in the background while you play.

Yoshida also confirmed that you can have both game chat and game audio running simultaneously through the DualShock 4 headset, and you can even use the official Vita headset too if you so desire.
@yosp can we have game chat and game audio running at same time though dualshock4 headset port? can we use official vita headset too?

For games that support couch co-op, you’ll be able to use Remote Play on the Vita and have a second player join you using the DualShock 4. As of now, Knack has been confirmed to have this feature. It’ll depend on third party publishers if they implement the same in their games.

Information was also provided on mandatory versus optional installs, though the answer might not be what most people were expecting.
