Looks like the PS4 Pro has successfully galvanized interest in the PS4, which had been sort of faltering over the last few weeks and months now. Following the launch of the PS4 Pro last week, sales of the PS4 were apparently up by 204% week on week.

65% of all PS4 consoles sold over this period were PS4 Pro consoles, which is especially incredible when you consider that the Pro only launched near the end of last week. Sales of the standard PS4 models, both the launch model and the Slim, rose 8.5% week on week, as well. The end result was that the PS4 claimed 53% of the total market, with its total sales coming in at 44% higher than total Xbox One sales.

Xbox One still had a great week, too, with sales rising 85% week on week, attributed primarily to Microsoft dumping the price of the launch models further. Now to see if Sony and Microsoft can sustain this level of interest and sales in their platforms over a longer period of time.
