Sony has announced that the latest system software update for PlayStation 4 would be deployed tomorrow. System update 7.00 carries a number of improvements starting with the Party feature. The maximum number of users in a Party will be increased from 8 to 16 with audio quality and network connectivity also being improved.

Chat transcription is also being added though this is limited to United States users for now. It allows for either converting party chat to text or typing text that is read out to other members. As for Remote Play, it will support smartphones and tablets with Android 5.0 or higher. This is only for select PS4 titles though.

DualShock 4 wireless controllers can also be connected to Android devices, iPhones, iPads and Macs with Bluetooth for use in Remote Play. You’ll need the appropriate operating systems (like Android 10, macOS Catalina and iOS 13) to use them. Stay tuned for more detailed notes on the update when it goes live tomorrow.
