HORIZON: ZERO DAWN SEQUEL
Horizon: Zero Dawn is easily one of the best new IPs a Sony first party studio has made in a long, long time. Guerrilla Games working on the 2017 title for about six years before it was ready to launch- but I think it’s safe to assume the sequel probably won’t take that long. For starters, making a sequel is (obviously) shorter work than kickstarting a new IP, because a lot of the groundwork has been done already, while this time, Guerrilla don’t have to make a new engine either (while the collaborative contributions made to Decima by Guerrilla Games are also bound to be invaluable). Of all current major Sony first party franchises, Horizon looks the likeliest to have a launch title present at the PS5’s launch.
