As per Sony’s quarterly briefing for the three months ending on June 30th, 2022, it’s shipped 21.7 million PS5 units worldwide, with 2.4 million units shipped in the first fiscal quarter. The company is reportedly aiming to sell-in 30 million units in the 2023 fiscal year, beginning April 1st, 2023 and ending on March 30th, 2024. Sales would reportedly be driven by the rumored new model with a detachable disc drive. Stay tuned for more details, as always, in the coming months.
