PS5 Game Streaming Beta Has Begun for Some Users, Supports 4K

Playable titles reportedly include God of War Ragnarok, Horizon Forbidden West, Demon's Souls, Death Stranding, and more.

After announcing that PS5 game streaming via the cloud was in testing and would be available for PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers, preview is rolling out for some users. Resetera users reported receiving an invite to the same, though getting in appears random.

There are several options for resolution, including 720p, 1080p, 1440p and even 2160p (which Xbox Cloud streaming lacks), with no issues reported thus far. Some playable titles allegedly include God of War: Ragnarok, Horizon Forbidden West, Fortnite, Destiny 2, Returnal, Demon’s Souls, Death Stranding, Destruction AllStars, and more.

Game trials for Resident Evil Village and Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles are also reportedly included. Sony has confirmed that the launch line-up will feature titles from its Game Catalog and trials along with digital titles that the player owns, though it hasn’t provided a definite list. It’s also looking to add cloud streaming for future PS5 titles, so stay tuned for more details.
