Other than a couple of articles, some understated mentions in interviews here and there, and a not-so-bombastic logo reveal, the PS5 is something that Sony have been unnervingly quiet about in all this time. With Sony stating that the console will be out this Holiday, the complete lack of updates on the console, even as dozens of leaks and rumours of supposed PS5 reveal events have come and gone, has been putting many on edge, and that impatience has only grown amidst rumblings that the coronavirus pandemic might delay its launch.
Well, it seems that long and arduous wait will be over soon. Sony recently took to Twitter via the official PlayStation account that tomorrow at 9 AM Pacific Time, they will be dropping new information on the PlayStation 5. This will happen in video format, as lead system architect on the console Mark Cerny provides “a deep dive into PS5’s system architecture” and talks about “how it will shape the future of games.”
Given Microsoft’s recent outpouring of new details on the Xbox Series X, this does seem like the right time to finally reveal new details on the console, especially as several major events where that could have been done either get cancelled or fall in danger of getting cancelled (or, you know, Sony just refuses to attend them).
We’ll be updating you live as all the detail start coming in, so stay tuned to GamingBolt.
