Over the last few months, Sony has continued its slow and steady rollout of new details on the upcoming PSVR2, but even though plenty has been said about the virtual headset so far, we haven’t exactly had a substantial showing of it, nor have we been able to properly see it in action (if at all). That, however, might soon be about to change.
Speaking during his recent Giant Bomb show GrubbSnax, journalist Jeff Grubb said that he’s heard “rumblings” Sony might be preparing to show off the PSVR2 in “a more substantial way” very soon. According to Grubb, some of it might even be related to E3 (or the traditional E3 period, since there is no E3 this year anymore), and might even be the referring to the June Sony event that may or may not be happening.
That’s a lot of variables, of course, so given the shaky nature of this story, it’s best to take it with a healthy grain of salt for now, especially given how tight-lipped Sony as a company likes to be. The PSVR2 is, according to reports, targeting an early 2023 launch, and if that is indeed the case, it would make sense for Sony to properly show it off in the coming weeks and months. Again, though, with nothing have yet been confirmed, tread with caution for now.
