Oh wow, starting with a bang!

Bethesda’s press conference for E3 started a bit late after multiple delays (which was good for me, I got to finish Game of Thrones that way), but damn if they didn’t start in style- you see, the show started with a trailer for a brand new Quake!

This is excellent news- especially considering just how well Bethesda and id have managed to reboot id’s other classic franchises with Wolfenstein The New Order and DOOM. The new game looks pretty damn awesome, judging by the trailer, with the same kind of clash of combat style that made the original stand out so much, and this new game will live up to the original Quake, id Software confirmed.

id Software confirmed that the game will be a multiplayer arena shooter for PC, running at 120fps (with an unlocked framerate), and it will have extremely fast paced action. The game will have a diverse cast of warriors, each with unique attributes and abilities, and it will be supported for eSports play by id and Bethesda.

More news about Quake Champions will be coming at QuakeCon.
