After successfully reviving Wolfenstein and DOOM, Bethesda and id Software will now take a crack at the third classic id Software property, attempting to modernize it for modern audiences. Quake Champions was announced at E3 last year, as a PC exclusive free to play game, but things have gone largely silent for it ever since.

Well, now it’s received a brand new trailer, which you can see below, as well as an invitation for players to sign up for the game’s closed beta. Quake Champion‘s closed beta sign-ups can be accessed on the game’s official website- Bethesda and id say that the closed beta will begin in the coming weeks, which… is awfully specific.

Meanwhile, feel free to watch the new trailer for the game below. Are you interested in giving this game a go? Or does this feel like a bastardization of the IP to you? We’re listening, so let us know in the comments section below.
