Quake Champions New Trailer Shows Off Gameplay Footage Without Embellishments

That's Quake, all right.

id Software and Bethesda will soon be releasing Quake Champions, the revival of the third big classic id franchise, after Wolfenstein and DOOM. The new Quake is going to be a fast paced, free to play, arena hero multiplayer shooter- which understandably makes a fair few series fans nervous. However, maybe this new video for the game, which has raw, unembellished game footage, can allay those qualms a bit.

The game looks like Quake– it is noticeably Quake, and series fans will find a lot of the franchise’s DNA here. Whether that carries through to the entirety of the final game is something that remains to be seen, but for now, what we see looks fine.

You’ll also get to play it ahead of launch to make your own call on whether or not this is Quake– a closed beta for the game should be beginning shortly. We will keep you posted on all news to do with the game- meanwhile, make sure to check out the trailer below.
