‘Remedy is working on their best game yet.’

And with those words, Phil Spencer kicked off Microsoft’s Gamescom showing, with Remedy’s highly anticipated Xbox One exclusive, Quantum Break. We got to see some brand new footage of the game, and hot dayum, does that game look amazing. The sheer time manipulation, which seems in many ways to be an evolution of the bullet time concept that Remedy themselves pioneered with Max Payne a decade back, seems to be an amazing addition to the gameplay.

It also helps that the game looks graphically stunning, and the story itself seems to be like something that will be right up sci fi fans’ alleys. Basically, everything seems to be coming together beautifully for this game- it might be the best playing third person shooter coming up across any platform.

Quantum Break will launch on April 6, 2016, exclusively on Xbox One.
