TeamKill Media’s Quantum Error made an appearance on the pre-show for Gamescom Opening Night Live. While the premise of battling cosmic horror monstrosities was already established, it seems that players may be outright venturing to space as well. Check out the latest trailer below to see what we mean.

The trailer talks of an artifact with some figure claiming it can be used to control “them.” Event Horizon deja vu aside, a hefty amount of new gameplay was also showcased, from axe swinging and opening doors with hydraulic rescue tools to gunning down fiends. Suffice it to say that there’s plenty of atmospheric horror to go with the action.

Quantum Error is currently in development for PS4 and PS5, though the latter will likely arrive in 2021. The story sees the Monad Quantum Research Facility going into lockdown, leading to firefighters led by Capt. Jacob Thomas to investigate. Things predictably spiral out of control. Stay tuned for more details on the title in the coming months.
