Rage 2

Bethesda Softworks has released the first gameplay trailer for RAGE 2, developed by id Software and Avalanche Studios. The influences of Mad Max and RAGE 1 are readily apparent as chaotic action meets car combat and wasteland aesthetic. Check it out below.

Set in 2185, the player takes on the role of the Walker, the last Ranger who battles against the Authority and various gangs in order to survive. The trailer showcases the same kind of free-flowing brutal combat that defined DOOM but with elements of Bulletstorm and the first RAGE thrown in. Of course, the action looks especially sumptuous with the sheer range of lighting, particle effects and atmospherics present.

Unfortunately, you’ll have to wait a while to play RAGE 2 – it currently has a release window of 2019 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Though Bethesda hasn’t explicitly confirmed as much, expect to see more gameplay at the publisher’s E3 presser on June 10th. What are your thoughts on the trailer? Let us know below.
