Ubisoft’s competitive first-person shooter Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege heads into its seventh year, and as previously revealed and confirmed, season 1 of year 7 will try to keep the gameplay experience fresh by adding in Team Deathmatch, a new 5 versus 5 permanent game mode where players will team up to fight against each other.

The matches in Team Deathmatch will last for five minutes, or until one team reaches 75 eliminations first, and the ability to change operators during the match along with respawning is available.

What is interesting is that a team can have a mixed composition of both attackers and defenders in this mode and none of the Operators will be able to use their respective abilities, which includes tools such as Barricades, Reinforcements, Observation Tools, Drones, and Rappels. For the maps, Theme Park, Villa, and Favela are the ones where players will be going at each other.

Team Deathmatch is a great way to do pre-match warmups with teams and is currently available to try out in the game. Check out its trailer below.
