Rainbow Six: Siege’s next big free content update, Operation Velvet Shell, will be going live later for all platforms. Along with two new Operators and a new map Coastline, there will be the usual round of bug fixes and changes. The update will deploy on PS4 between 9 AM to 9:59 AM EST, Xbox One from 10 AM to 10:59 AM EST and PC from 11 AM to 11:59 AM EST.
The new Operators are Jackal, an Attacker who see enemy footprints; and Mira, a Defender who can use bullet-proof one-way windows for effective reconnaissance.
Coastline will also take advantage of the new “Two Layer Destruction” system which will be seen in all forthcoming maps. Though the map will be playable today, the Operators will be available immediately for Season Pass owners. Everyone else will have to wait next week and use in-game currency to pick them up.
Other changes include new Signature weapon skins; new Elite Sets with victory animations, titles, cards, uniforms and so on. You can see the patch notes in full here.
