Rare Replay Could Receive More Games Later

Rare hints at some post-launch releases for the classic collection.

Rare Replay

Rare’s collection of old-school games, named the Rare Replay, is almost upon us and it features 30 classic games ranging from the well-known (Perfect Dark, Banjo Kazooie) to the obscure (Sabre Wolf, Blast Corps). Some choices have been omitted for obvious reasons but for the most part it encompasses quite a lot of what Rare’s known for.

It’s not quite everything though and it seems Rare could add more titles later on as post-launch DLC. Rare lead engineer James Thomas stated on a Twitch livestream that choosing games for the collection was tough but there “could be space for more”.

“There is a wealth of titles that we could dip into; a huge heritage beyond the 30 that we chose. But that’s what made choosing the 30 so hard in the first place. We had to put aside [our own personal] preferences. We hope we’ve done [that], but you never know, there could be space for more.”

What would you like to see Rare feature in their collection (and sorry but Goldeneye 007 is off the table)? Let us know in the comments.
