Rare Replay

Rumours have been running rampant about Rare Replay, the Xbox One exclusive compilation of 30 classic Rare games, possibly coming to the Wii u. Sadly, even though Microsoft did confirm Minecraft on the Nintendo Wii U, Rare Replay will not be following any time soon.

On Twitter, Rare stated that, “Lots of Qs about Wii U! But #RareReplay’s exclusive to Xbox One, and we’re hard at work on Sea of Thieves. Appreciate the enthusiasm though!” Sea of Thieves is currently slated for release in 2016 on Xbox One.

For its part, Microsoft Studios stated on Twitter that, “We appreciate all your suggestions! However, we have no information of any games coming to the Wii U other than Minecraft at this time.” So there’s the official line right there.

If you want to experience the best that Rare has to offer, Rare Replay is definitely worth your time and money. Not only does it include 30 classic titles but there are even specific challenges you can complete to unlock different documentaries regarding Rare’s journey through the industry.
