Ratchet & Clank PS4

The “re-imagining” of the first Ratchet & Clank title received plenty of new information yesterday, including a release date of Spring 2016. Today, Insomniac Games confirmed that the game would be running at 1080p resolution and 30 frames per second.

Community lead James Stevenson further stated on the PlayStation Blog that the team’s goal was to “match or exceed the fidelity of CG animated movies,” and that ultimately, it was realized that this “was actually possible with PS4.”

Stevenson also revealed that the game would last 10 to 12 hours, resulting in a bigger release than Into the Nexus – the last Ratchet & Clank title – for PlayStation 3. There will be plenty of upgrades to nab and Trophies to earn though including a modern control scheme, new planets and bosses, some returning weapons (including the Groovitron) and much more. It should also be noted that the game will cost $40.
