If you’re already done with Red Dead Redemption 2’s campaign and wondering when exactly Red Dead Online will launch, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has narrowed down the release period. In a recent earnings call, Zelnick said that the online component for the critically acclaimed open world title would launch “toward the end of the month”. So in about three weeks, maximum.

Red Dead Online will be launching as a beta though. According to Rockstar, there will be updates to help evolve the experience, which is a given if you look at the company’s support of Grand Theft Auto Online. Hopefully the launch of Red Dead Online will be smoother, especially given the problems that GTA Online had at launch.

The real question is what content Red Dead Online will have. We haven’t heard anything about the rumoured Battle Royale mode, for instance. The open world will contain numerous missions, and Rockstar has some idea about the direction of future content updates. For now, we’ll just have to wait for more information.
