Much like there’s no doubt that eventually the Sun will rise and set, and empires will rise and eventually fall, eventually a PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released. The megahit’s potential PC version has been cropping up a lot lately, and well, we got some more. The game’s companion app may very well have spilled the biggest technical details yet.

Members at the popular GTAforums have dug into the app and come back with some surprising new features that could paint a picture of what the PC version’s graphical settings will look like. For one, there’s reference to DirectX Feature Set 12_1 in the settings, suggesting that it will support the newest API. The biggest thing, though, is they found evidence that the game will have Ultra settings, something the PC version of Grant Theft Auto V lacked. You can find all the extracted code here.

Of course, due to the nature of this, it’s not guaranteed that these will be what the final features will look like, so we have to file this under speculation for now, but considering the inevitability of the PC version and some of these features being standard, it wouldn’t be too surprising. Probably the biggest question is if the PC version will be a timed Epic Games Store exclusive, since Take-Two Interactive has taken several high profile deals there recently. That has the potential to be the EGS controversy that finally kills the internet.
