It was a long wait for Red Dead Redemption 2 to finally release on PC. It’s a technical marvel on a lot of levels, which you can read about through here, but it unfortunately also had a host of issues, particularly around crashing that’s lead to multiple updates for both the game and the new Rockstar Games Launcher. But there’s still a lot of issues, it seems, but Rockstar is seemingly on it.

On the official Twitter account, Rockstar Games gave a lengthy statement on the situation. They said they knew that some subsets of PC players were still having issues and pledged that more fixes are coming down the line and to implore people to use the support website, through here, when needed.

While the statement is a nice one, it also lacks specifics or time frames for when patches will end up coming. It does seems that those who play the PC version from this week to the holidays will get a little compensation for the rocky launch with a complimentary care package for Read Dead Online that includes the Prieto Poncho with an assortment of provisions and ammo.
