Red Dead Redemption 2: With No Sign of Any New Information For 6 Months, Is The Game Delayed?

A Rockstar game possibly getting delayed? Why, I am shocked! Shocked, I say!

Red Dead Redemption 2 might be one of the most anticipated games of this year, but that last part of that sentence may be in severe doubt a of right now. While leaks and rumors about Red Dead Redemption 2‘s release date are a dime a dozen (at this point, every retailer worth their salt has variously leaked a Fall 2017 release date for the game, in line with the original announcement), the undeniable fact remains that there has been absolutely zero media or information on the game since its announcement in October last year.

We’re six months out from when the game was announced, and another six months away from a probably Fall release – seven months at the very most, unless Rockstar want to miss the Holiday shopping windows entirely – and so far, that initial trailer for the game is literally all that we have. No new screenshots, no updates, nothing has come for the game since then.

For other games, I would have considered an E3 showing- and maybe that’s what Rockstar are going to do here, although they have never been all that big on E3, either. Is there a possibility that the game is simply delayed? No Rockstar game has actually met its initial release date in a decade, so we may be in for Red Dead Redemption 2 slipping into next year, too.
