Remnant 2

Gunfire Games has confirmed that Remnant 2, a sequel to Remnant: From the Ashes, is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC in 2023. Published by Gearbox, it features dynamically generated worlds, branching quest lines, and support for solo and three-player co-op. Check out the trailer below.

When starting a new playthrough, players essentially enter a world created from a pool of locations with various enemies, NPCs, bosses and weapons. These are “dynamically built” and allow for “unique experiences as elements are woven organically into the world and narrative.” You’ll come across multiple different stories in each world, encouraging revisits.

The Archetype system is new and seemingly provides more flexibility for one’s play style. You can unlock and level up different Archetypes with different passives and powers, though how they work remains to be seen. Nevertheless, you’ll explore different biomes, take on all kinds of overwhelming enemies, upgrade weapons and craft, and much more.

Stay tuned for more details on Remnant 2 in the coming months.
