Resident Evil 2

In just a few hours, Resident Evil 2 will be out on store shelves officially, available for the world at large to buy- and not that the game needs any hyping up (considering how excited everyone is about it as it is), but Capcom have released a launch trailer in anticipation of its release to do just that. If you’ve never played the original Resident Evil 2 and aren’t aware of some of the major story beats across the stories of both Leon and Claire though, do note that there are some spoilery scenes in the trailer, so watch at your own risk.

It’s a great trailer though, showing iconic locations such as the streets of Raccoon City and the Raccoon City Police Department building brought to life in glorious visual detail thanks to the RE Engine, not to mention showing us some of the most major characters in the game, including the likes of Leon S. Kennedy, Claire Redfield, Ada Wong, Sherry Birkin, and others, while setting up the main high stakes story arcs for both main protagonists. Take a look below.

Resident Evil 2 is, in case you’re wondering, well worth the wait. In our review, we called it “a worthy modernization and re-imagining of one of the best survival horror games of all time” and gave it high praise all around. Read the full review through here. Meanwhile, check out our full tech analysis of the game across all three platforms through here.

Resident Evil 2 is out tomorrow, on January 25, for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It’ll receive a day one patch- but don’t worry, it won’t be too big.
