As an ambitious ground up remake built on one of the best engines currently on the market, you’d expect Resident Evil 2 to have sizeable storage requirements. However, true to the trend Capcom games usually follow, that does not seem to be the case. Not too long ago, we learned that the game will need about 21 GB of space on Xbox One, and its requirements on PC have also now been revealed as well.
They’re roughly the same as Xbox One, but only a little higher (which makes sense, given that it’s the PC version). To be specific, Resident Evil 2 will require 26 GB of space in your PC’s storage, as per the game’s Steam page. That’s a refreshingly small size for a AAA game, especially one this ambitious- good to know that we won’t have to download a ridiculously massive game before getting the play it, as has so often been the case lately.
Meanwhile, recently, we also learned that on PC, Resident Evil 2 will make use of Denuvo DRM, while the full Trophies/Achievements list for the game has also been leaked. Resident Evil 2 launches on January 25 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC- but there’s a demo coming out for the game on all three platforms in a couple of days as well.
