Resident Evil 5

The future of the Resident Evil franchise is looking bright after the success of the Resident Evil 2 remake, and a new spinoff in the form of Project Resistance that looks to bring its own brand of fun. But this month Switch users are getting a chance to revisit the series’ storied past, as Resident Evil 5 and 6 are soon to release for the system, and today we got a special demo for each.

The demos were released alongside two trailers, which you can see below. The games were originally released on PS3 and 360 and have since been ported to modern hardware, though this is the first time either game has ever been available on a Nintendo system. Both games bring an action bend and co-op systems to the survival horror genre.

Resident Evil 5 and 6 will both be available for Nintendo Switch on October 29th. Both games will be available digitally, with a triple pack physical release that also includes the classic Resident Evil 4 coming out on the same date. If you own Resident Evil, Resident Evil Zero, or Resident Evil 4 digitally on Switch already, there will also be a 33% discount applied to 5 and 6 on the eShop.
