Resident Evil 7: Players Will Fight Multiple Enemies At Once, Won’t Just Have 1v1 Combat

Overwhelmed.

Resident Evil 7 Biohazard

Resident Evil 7 may be going back to its horror roots, but the game will still have combat- Resident Evil needs combat to truly add stakes to its tension, after all. But the combat will undoubtedly be de-emphasized compared to how central it was in Resident Evil 6 and even Resident Evil 5. But that does not mean that the combat will be limited compared to previous games.

Speaking to YugaTech, for instance, producer Masochika Kawata confirmed that the game will pit you against more than one enemy at a time many times- as opposed to just the 1v1 combat that we have been shown so far. “Yes, there are situations where it’s you versus several enemies. Just to note, there will be no situations where it’s you versus 20 or 30 enemies like RE6, but it’s also not just 1 versus 1,” he said.

So the odds of you being overwhelmed by monstrosities and nightmares still stands in Resident Evil 7– surely that will be something that adds to the terror and the dread. Resident Evil 7 launches in January on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
